Job summary

Healthcare Staffing Professionals seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to work in a correctional setting in Phoenix, AZ. The CNA will assist with patient care, document in the electronic health record, take vitals, prepare patients for exams, perform venipunctures and basic lab tasks, and support ADLs under supervision.

The role requires an Arizona CNA license (or compact state), PSV, N95 fit testing, First Aid, and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CNA license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or a participating Compact State.
• PSV from National Council of State Boards of Nursing must be current.
• N95 fit testing current.
• First Aid Certification current.
• Minimum one year of CNA experience.

Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Certified Nursing Assistant to work in a correctional setting located in Phoenix, AZ. Candidates will perform duties within the scope of practice to ensure quality patient care, under the direct supervision of medical or nursing personnel. Completes required documentation in the electronic health record or other modality. Prepares patients for examination and treatment, takes patient histories, vital signs, and records chief complaints. Performs office procedures, tests, and examinations. Maintains adequate supplies for exam/procedure rooms. Transcribes provider orders and schedules return appointments. Performs venipunctures and lab tests. Assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

Shift

Day & NIGHT - Must commit to 3x12-hour shifts weekly for a minimum of 13 weeks.

Requirements

• Copy of current, valid, unrestricted license as a CNA issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing -OR- issued by a participating Compact State.
• Copy of current, completed PSV from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing
• Copy of current, completed fit testing for N95 particulate respirators.
• Copy of current, completed First Aid Certification.
• Minimum one year of past work experience in this position.
• Basic Life: $25,000 (100% employer paid)
• Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) : $25,000 (100% employer paid)
