Job summary

Atlas Post Acute at Woodbury Country Club in Woodbury, NJ, is seeking an experienced nurse leader to direct the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs in accordance with regulations and facility policies.

You will promote holistic care, ensure compliance, participate in admissions/discharges, transcribe orders, administer medications, and coordinate care plans. This role emphasizes teamwork, infection control, and involvement in QAPI activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
• Promotes holistic care and follows the nursing model.
• Assists in admissions, discharges, and transfers as required.
• Transcribes physician orders and carries out orders as written.
• Prepares and administers medications per orders and monitors adverse effects.
• Performs wound care and related treatments.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and transportation as indicated.
• Provides nursing leadership to unit staff.
• Performs routine rounds to ensure resident needs are met.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs.
• Participates in management meetings to discuss census and changes.
• May assist in evaluating staff performance and disciplinary actions.
• Reports incidents to management and participates in investigations.
• Participates in end-of-life care as required.
• Maintains stock of medications and supplies; notifies needs.
• Updates and reviews care plans as required.
• Promotes teamwork, communication, and infection control adherence.
• Participates in survey processes and QAPI activities as needed.
