Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for Cardiac Progressive Care. You will provide direct patient care, assess needs, implement care plans, and promote safe, high-quality outcomes while collaborating with the care team.

This night shift, full-time role offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and opportunities for professional growth; A Diploma in nursing and Texas RN license are required.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• Licensed Clinical Registered Nurse credential from Texas Board of Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as an RN, assessing patient needs and implementing care plans to promote high-quality outcomes.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and the care team and document assessments and progress in the EHR.
• Assess patient conditions, communicate changes promptly, and execute physician/nursing orders for safety and quality.
• Collaborate with patients and families to coordinate discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.

• Coordinate patient care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team while documenting assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Assess patient conditions, communicate clinical changes promptly, and carry out physician and nursing orders to support patient safety and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate discharge planning, ensure continuity of care, and deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Clinical Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.

Education

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
