Job summary

Essentia Health's Duluth Family Medicine Clinic is seeking an experienced nurse leader to oversee daily operations of the DFMC clinic, including staffing, workflows, and process improvements.

This role provides input to leadership on policies, budgets, and systems, leads nursing staff development, patient care, and advocacy, and may perform RN duties to assess health and educate patients. Shift is day rotation, 0800–1700, FTE 1, with no weekends or on-call.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• 2 year’s nursing experience in related specialty, ambulatory setting; or community health with demonstrated leadership ability.
• Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 3 months from date of hire.

Job Description

Provides oversight of the daily operations of the assigned department including staffing and developing/implementing workflows and processes as well as provides input to the leader regarding policies, procedures, systems, and operating budgets. Responsible for direct nursing leadership, nursing staff development, patient care, and patient advocacy. This individual may perform RN duties to skillfully assess the patient’s health and respond to interventions, provide treatments, and offer education and counseling that lead to improvement of the patient/family’s self-management skills. Supports continuous quality improvement efforts in order to achieve high quality and ongoing progress in all areas of care and service.

Education Qualifications
