Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East). The role involves inpatient oncology care, IV therapy, transfusions, pain management, and collaboration with LPNs, PCNAs, nurse interns, and providers.

Qualifications include Ohio RN licensure and BLS; PRN requires 1 year of RN experience and certifications at hire. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualifying experience. Rotating weekends and holidays apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Ohio RN licensure.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers, or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience and required certifications at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient oncology nursing care on 3 East with 30 beds.
• Administer IV therapies, blood products, and manage pain.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, interns, and providers.
• Support hospice and palliative care needs as part of the unit.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Join our Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East)!

Primary Patient Population:

• Inpatient Oncology (16 dedicated patient beds)
• Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
• Medical/Surgical Overflow

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management
• Hospice and palliative care
• Ability to obtain Chemotherapy Certification
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers

Number of beds on unit:

• 30 beds

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
