MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick is seeking an experienced RN for the Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East). You will participate in rotating 7a-7p/7p-7a shifts, with weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule, supporting the care of oncology inpatients.

Responsibilities include IV therapy, transfusions, pain management, and potential chemotherapy certification; RN licensure in Ohio and BLS are required. A bi-weekly 72-hour schedule and robust benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification or within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience; required certifications at hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide IV medication therapy and blood product transfusions.
• Manage pain and oversee hospice/palliative care needs.
• Time management, critical thinking, and delegation on unit.
• Maintain chemotherapy certification as needed.

Join our Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East)!

Primary Patient Population:

• Inpatient Oncology (16 dedicated patient beds)
• Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
• Medical/Surgical Overflow

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management
• Hospice and palliative care
• Ability to obtain Chemotherapy Certification
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers

Number of beds on unit:

• 30 beds

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

• BSN
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
