MetroHealth Health System is hiring an RN for the Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East) at the MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick. The role involves IV therapy, transfusion, pain management, and caring for oncology patients in a fast-paced environment.

Rotating shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a) with weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule; bi-weekly hours total 72. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available for qualifying experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care on Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East).
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, and providers.

Join our Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East)!

Primary Patient Population:

• Inpatient Oncology (16 dedicated patient beds)
• Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
• Medical/Surgical Overflow

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management
• Hospice and palliative care
• Ability to obtain Chemotherapy Certification
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers

Number of beds on unit:

• 30 beds

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
