Job summary

The Newark-based Premise Health Inc. Health Center is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide care to United Airlines employees on-site.

You will assess patient needs, perform tests and treatments, collaborate with physicians, maintain records, and educate patients, with alternating weekend and weekday evening shifts; on-site parking and virtual health options are available.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

Schedule

• Alternating Weekend Schedule
• Alternating Sat & Sun Coverage 11:30 am - 8:00 pm
• Additional Weekday Evening Coverage Between 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

What You’ll Do

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $38.40 - $49.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
