Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Part-time Registered Nurse to join our Health & Wellness Center in Chicago, IL, partnering with United Airlines. You will assess patients, perform nursing evaluations, and deliver care within scope while collaborating with physicians. A BSN is preferred and a valid RN license is required.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 3+ years of ER, occupational health, or ambulatory care nursing experience.
• Occupational Health Nursing certification preferred for some sites.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient care needs, performs nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope.
• Collaborates with physicians for further evaluation and care as needed.
• Performs and documents tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administers medications and emergency care within scope of practice.
• Maintains equipment, environment, and infection control procedures.
• Keeps accurate patient health records and follows up as needed.
• Educates patients on health promotion and follow-up care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Premise Health is proud to partner with United Airlines and is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurseto work in our Health & Wellness Center located in Chicago, IL.

Schedule

• Week A: Tue & Wed 9:30 am - 8:00 pm
• Week B: Tue & Wed 11:30 am - 8:00 pm
• Additional Hours as needed Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 8:00 pm & Weekends 6:00 am - 8:00 pm

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
