Qualifications

• ARRT Diagnostic Radiology certification required
• Advanced Mammography registration preferred or within 1 year
• State licensure preferred where required
• BLS certification at hire for certain locations

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and consent.
• Correlates clinical history with procedures and documents for licensed provider.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and selects exposure factors.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in quality assessments and improvement plans.
