Job summary

Responsibilities include staff management, training, and partnering with nursing to meet patient dietary needs, with a focus on cost-effective, high-quality service and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management with RD within 6 months.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day (UT/ID rules) or within 90 days if not current.
• Proven leadership of a diverse team and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily patient meal services and operations.
• Collaborate with nursing to address patient needs and educate staff on diets.
• Mentor staff, hire, train, and handle performance and discipline.
• Ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective service delivery.
• Monitor quality and patient satisfaction; implement system-wide best practices.
• Coordinate with clinical team on patient diet orders and concerns.
