Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Registered Dietitian to lead the Patient Services within the hospital's Culinary Service department. You will oversee daily operations, ensure therapeutic diets are followed, and collaborate with nursing to meet patient needs while delivering high-quality, cost-effective meals.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in health-care food service, and a commitment to quality improvements and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management required.
Registered Dietitian certification within 6 months of hire.
ServSafe certification required by first day of work (Utah/Idaho only) or within 90 days if not current.
Experience leading and managing a diverse team.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Oversees daily operations of patient meal services in hospital.
Partners with nursing to educate and ensure dietary guidelines are followed.
Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
Implements clinical best practices to deliver high-quality care cost-effectively.
Manages HR functions: hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, discipline, termination.
Ensures food safety and regulatory compliance; monitors quality and satisfaction metrics.
Collaborates with clinical team to address diet orders and concerns.
