The role involves budgeting, menu planning, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with nursing and QA teams.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Dietetics or related field, with relevant experience and ServSafe certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field is required.
• One year of dietitian experience in healthcare or skilled nursing is preferred.
• 1–2 years of management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS, care planning, and clinical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing dietary and nutritional services.

Responsabilités

• Oversees the dietary department and supervises dietary staff.
• Participates in department and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Manages food and supply purchases within budget and ensures adequate meal coverage.
• Guides diet planning, menu formulation, and service of regular and therapeutic diets.
• Ensures menus meet nutritional needs and follow physician orders/regulations.
• Maintains resident diet history records and nutrition progress notes.
• Coordinates Nutrition-related documentation such as MDS and care plans.
• Monitors weights and collaborates with nursing for recommendations.
• Ensures sanitation and safe food handling per regulations.
