Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or related field required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Dietitian in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting preferred.
• 1–2 years management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS, care planning, and clinical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations governing dietary and nutritional services.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the dietary department and provides supervision to the dietary staff to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met.
• Monitors weights and collaborates with nursing to make recommendations.
• Ensures menus meet nutritional needs and follow physician orders and regulations.
• Provides guidance on diet planning, menu formulation, preparation and service of diets.
• Maintains records and budgets for the dietary department.
• Ensures sanitation and safety in food handling and preparation.
