Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support dental care delivery in our California pediatric-focused clinics. The RDA will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, operate x-ray equipment, and ensure infection control.

The role emphasizes patient education, charting with the doctor, and collaboration with a friendly, supportive team. California RDA license and BLS are preferred; bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college or 3+ months related experience or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
• Preforms prophy teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts and treatment plan with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
• Takes IOs
• Charts
• Sealants, if applicable

Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range: $20.77-$27.84/hour (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists the doctor in procedures

• Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
• Prophy teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments

• Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
• Take IO's
• Charting
• Sealants, if applicable

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or trainingOR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• California Registered Dental Assistant License
• X-Ray Certification

• Coronal Polish Certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Sealant Certification
