Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team in Vallejo, CA on a part-time basis. The RDA supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials, passing instruments, and assisting with procedures in accordance with the Dental Practice Act.

Responsibilities include operating x-ray equipment, taking x-rays, prophy, charting with the doctor, sterilizing instruments, and instructing patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college or 3+ months related experience
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Registered Dental Assistant - Part Time

The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range

$21.83-$29.23/hr (based on experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures


• Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays


• Prophy teeth


• Instructs patients on oral hygiene


• Chart and treatment plan with doctor

Education and/or Experience

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred


• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• California Registered Dental Assistant License


• X-Ray Certification


• Coronal Polish Certification required


• Current BLS certification


• Sealant Certification
