Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services, the largest pediatric dental provider in the Southwest, is hiring a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in California. The role supports care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials, and by assisting the doctor during procedures.

Evidence-based practice and patient safety are emphasized, with duties including taking X-rays, charting treatment plans, sterilizing instruments, and educating patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college or equivalent experience.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.
• X-ray certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures.
• Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays.
• Prophy teeth and instructs patients on oral hygiene.
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor; sterilize instruments.
• Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment; take IO's; charting; sealants where applicable.

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range: $23.89-$32.02/hour (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists the doctor in procedures

• Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
• Prophy teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments

• Sealants, if applicable

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or trainingOR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• BIlingual in Spanish, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• California Registered Dental Assistant License
• X-Ray Certification

• Coronal Polish Certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Sealant Certification, preferred
