Job summary

Choice Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support orthodontics care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Certification or experience in dental assisting (required or preferred).
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• California RDA license required; X-ray cert required; other certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures.
• Takes x-rays.
• Takes IOs.
• Assists in prophylaxis cleaning of teeth.
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene.

Registered Dental Assistant

Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant supports orthodontics care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range: $19.71 - $26.44/hr (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene

• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient\'s treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or trainingOR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• BIlingual in Spanish, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• California Registered Dental Assistant License
• X-Ray Certification

• Coronal Polish Certification
• Current BLS certification
• Sealant Certification, preferred
