Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered at St. Anne Hospital to perform diagnostic, non-invasive, and invasive cardiac exams using ultrasound equipment. Work includes Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography and stress testing.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in a cardiovascular technology-related field, BLS and session-specific credentialing (RDCS/CCI). On-call hours are required and EPIC EHR and PACS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or other related study (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound testing equipment to evaluate the heart during Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography and Cardiac Stress testing examinations.
• Demonstrates ability to proficiently perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Utilizes the hospital electronic medical record to review patient information and document any critical findings.
• On call hours required.
