Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Registered Cardiac Sonographer for St. Charles Hospital to perform diagnostic echocardiography including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress testing, delivering high-quality heart assessments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in health sciences or cardiovascular tech preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• RDCS or RCS credentialing preferred by major boards.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography exams.
• Proficiently performs non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before/during procedures.
• Uses the electronic medical record to review patient information and document findings.
• On-call hours required.
