Job summary

Mercy Health’s Springfield Regional Medical Center seeks a Cardiac Sonographer Registered to perform diagnostic, non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams using ultrasound equipment. The role covers Transthoracic, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing, with on-call hours required.

Minimum one year experience preferred; associates degree in cardiovascular technology or related field preferred; BLS required and credentialing in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) by ARDMS or CCI.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology or ultrasonography (preferred).
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Credentialed echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment to evaluate the heart.
• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Uses the EMR to review patient information and document findings.
• On-call hours required.
