Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered to perform comprehensive echocardiography studies at St. Charles Hospital. You will conduct transthoracic and transesophageal exams and help assess cardiac function.

On-call coverage is required, and you will collaborate with a clinical team to ensure patient care excellence. The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in cardiovascular technology, BLS certification, and ARDMS/CCI credentials or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred in cardiovascular technology or related field.
• BLS certification required.
• Credentialed in echocardiography (RDCS/RCS) preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations on the heart.
• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Applies knowledge of cardiac anatomy and exam procedures.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Uses the EMR to review patient information and document findings.
• On-call hours are required.
