Job summary

Mercy Health in Toledo, OH is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered at St. Anne Hospital to perform diagnostic, non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams using ultrasound testing equipment. The testing modalities include transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac stress testing.

On-call hours are required; a minimum of one year experience is preferred; EPIC EHR and PACS experience are valued. RDCS or RCS credentials are preferred; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a cardiovascular tech field or related study (preferred).
• BLS required by American Heart Association.
• Credentialed in echocardiography: RDCS or RCS.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment for heart evaluation.
• Proficiently performs non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Uses electronic medical records to review patient information and document findings.
• On-call hours required.
