Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform transthoracic, transesophageal echocardiography and stress testing on patients at Fairfield Hospital. You will operate ultrasound equipment and document findings in the EMR, contributing to high-quality cardiac care.

The role requires BLS, one year of experience preferred, and credentials in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS). On-call hours are required, with a focus on compassionate patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or related study (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Credentialed in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) in ARDMS/CCI

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Reviews patient information and documents findings in the EMR.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• On-call hours required.
