Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography and stress echocardiography for physicians’ diagnostic support. The role requires ARDMS RDCS or CCI credentials and BLS certification, with duties including patient preparation, image acquisition, and EMR documentation.

Per diem shift work at the Spring Mills imaging department, coordinating with the Lead Cardiac Sonographer and maintaining equipment and records.

Qualifications

• Requires ARDMS registry as RDCS or CCI as RCS/ACS.
• BLS (American Heart Association) Healthcare Provider required.
• Ability to obtain clinical information from patient records prior to testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic studies including stress echocardiography.
• Prepare patient and equipment, monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Obtain and document diagnostic images and ensure correct order in EMR.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide post-test instructions.
• Identify and report technical issues or abnormal findings to physicians.
• Maintain and restock equipment; assist with new procedures as introduced.
