Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Behavioral Technician to work one-on-one with children and/or adults with autism spectrum disorder and similar developmental needs in Florida. The role focuses on building social/communication skills and recording progress, with plans guided by BCBA supervision.

Pay ranges from $20 to $23 per hour. The position offers various shifts (morning, afternoon, evening) and benefits with Maxim’s caregiver support programs.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience or coursework in psychology/education/behavioral fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social and communication skills.
• Document progress and milestones.
• Follow behavior change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors
• Document child progress and milestones
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with children with special needs
• Strong communication skills
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Completion of college coursework in one of the following programs: psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a minimum of one year experience working with children in the following capacities: Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician required
