Career Team in Deep East Texas is seeking a Deputy Director to plan, organize, and direct daily operations of the Workforce Solutions Centers. Reporting to the Project Director, you will support front‑line staff and customers across twelve counties and ensure procedures align with WSDET and Texas Workforce Commission policies.

This onsite leadership role involves supervising managers, guiding staff development, budgeting across multiple funding streams, and coordinating meetings with partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, marketing, public relations, or related field.
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse constituents.
• Stellar oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to work onsite in Deep East Texas region.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff supervision and development across the Workforce Solutions Centers.
• Coordinate budgets across multiple funding streams and align with strategic plans.
• Ensure procedures comply with WSDET and Texas Workforce Commission policies.
• Schedule and lead meetings with management, partners, and Board staff.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to advance the organization’s mission.
• Support the Project Director in implementing the strategic vision for operations.
