Job summary

Career Team seeks a Deputy Director to partner with the Project Director to ensure programs comply with WSDET and Texas Workforce Commission policies while directing day-to-day operations in Deep East Texas across twelve counties.

You will lead staff development, oversee budgeting across multiple funding streams, supervise center management, and coordinate with partners and the Board. This onsite role drives the strategic vision for operations, assessment, and marketing within Career Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, public relations, or community development or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience overseeing front-line staff or programs.
• Strong relationship-building with diverse constituents; excellent written and oral communication.
• Willingness to learn new software and develop staff; supervise interns and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Director to align SOPs with WSDET and TWC policies.
• Provide day-to-day operational guidance across twelve counties.
• Act as primary operational contact in the Project Director's absence.
• Lead staff development and budget alignment across funding streams.
• Supervise center management and oversee program implementation and compliance.
