Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Project Director to oversee a single project and execute its strategic plan within the Deep East Texas region. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will ensure contract compliance and drive program performance while coaching staff and coordinating with Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas and the Texas Workforce Commission.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher and 3+ years in operational leadership, plus strong communication, time-management, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in operational leadership and management.
• 3+ years of demonstrated ability working in a dynamic team environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• 2+ years of proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Willingness to uphold Career Team’s core values and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily programmatic operations across the twelve-county Deep East region.
• Ensure contract compliance, policies and procedures, and program monitoring.
• Prepare and manage multiple funding streams' rates with no disallowed costs; drive metrics and performance.
• Coach frontline staff and create service delivery plans for the project.
• Lead high-functioning teams to execute program initiatives and develop staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with the Board, employers, community organizations, and workforce partners.
• Support business development and identify growth opportunities within the project and region.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions and annual performance evaluations.
• Maintain a proactive, solution-oriented leadership approach.
