Job summary

Career Team seeks a Deputy Director to help plan, organize, and direct daily operations of the Workforce Solutions Centers across Deep East Texas. Reporting to the Project Director, you will support front-line staff and customers while maintaining alignment with WSDET and TWC policies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and 3+ years of supervisory experience, with strong communication and relationship-building skills. Travel up to 50% is possible; onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, public relations, or community organization/development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory experience overseeing front-line or program staff.
  • Stellar oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Willingness to uphold Career Team’s core values and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management in planning, organizing, and directing daily Workforce Solutions Centers operations.
  • Provide supervision and ongoing support to Center management and staff.
  • Coordinate meetings with management staff, partners, and Board staff as needed.
  • Lead staff development efforts and assist with budgetary alignment across multiple funding streams.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies and Workforce Board subject matter experts to advance Career Team's mission.
