Job summary

McWane, Inc. is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to cover Ohio, West Virginia, and Michigan. This salaried role focuses on sales, marketing, and account management across distributors, engineers, and municipalities, with a strong emphasis on service and product knowledge.

You will drive margins and expand the distributor base while supporting our sales goals. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of industrial sales experience, preferably in waterworks, and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of industrial sales experience, preferably in waterworks or related industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develops strong communication networks and builds relationships with distributors, engineers, and municipalities.
• Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of distributors.
• Executes the company’s pricing strategy for assigned accounts to ensure margins.
• Submits weekly reports to management highlighting market conditions.
• Documents customer interactions and opportunity management in the assigned software.
• Troubleshoots product issues in the field and by phone.
• Acts as liaison between end users, customers, and the company on all matters.
• Informs and trains distributor salespeople on latest product and marketing information.
• Participates in trade associations and assist with seminars, trade shows, and presentations.
• Keeps National Sales Manager informed of needs and allocation of resources.
• Prepares price quotations or bids based on material knowledge and market conditions.
• Monitors competitor activity and pricing.
• Promotes The McWane Way principles.
• Performs other sales and service duties as directed by management.
