Job summary

Prisms VR seeks a Regional Teacher Coach to lead professional development, classroom coaching, and curriculum integration across a California region, rapidly upskilling educators in best-practice pedagogy through immersive technology.

You will collaborate with the Head of Teacher Community & Professional Learning to expand access to high-quality STEM instruction, support systemic change, and build strong teacher communities across California schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or Master's in STEM education preferred.
• 2-5 years of Grades 6-12 teaching experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of curriculum development experience preferred.
• Knowledge of multiple learning frameworks with emphasis on problem-based learning.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with national math standards and alignment to state standards.

Responsibilities

• Model exemplary lessons to showcase technology integration and mathematical discourse.
• Facilitate in-classroom coaching sessions with side-by-side co-teaching and real-time feedback.
• Lead lesson study sessions to develop VR module design and facilitation for meaningful learning outcomes.
• Lead curriculum integration conversations from classroom to district level.
• Contribute to ongoing creation and refinement of curriculum and PD materials.
• Support and lead professional development sessions to onboard new-to Prisms teachers.
• Assess regional coaching needs and map next steps for classrooms and schools.
• Create and foster community among Prisms teachers and leaders in your region.
