Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare seeks a Regional Veterinary Technician Trainer to coach and develop veterinary teams across a broad region. You will partner with hospital leadership to identify skill gaps and deliver targeted onboarding, training, and upskilling programs.

You will mentor technicians, promote best adult-learning practices, and support staff progression within Thrive’s clinical pathway. This role requires strong communication, leadership, and travel across San Antonio and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of clinical experience as a credentialed veterinary technician; must be eligible to transfer credentials to Texas (CVT, LVT, RVT or LVMT).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in training, leadership, or management roles.
• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with National Technician Director and regional hospital leadership to identify skill gaps and development priorities.
• Provide leaders with tools and feedback to support onboarding, training, and upskilling plans.
• Deliver coaching, mentorship, and professional development support to Veterinary Technicians, Assistants, trainers, and leaders.
• Mentor and support hospital technician leaders on resources and best adult learning practices.
• Support progression through Thrive's clinical skills and knowledge leveling pathway.
