Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare seeks a Regional Veterinary Technician Trainer to support hospital teams across the Hill Country Region, including San Antonio, New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, and Austin. The role entails hands-on training, mentorship, and advancing medical standards with up to 80% travel.

You are a credentialed veterinary technician with 4–6 years of clinical practice and at least 2 years in training or leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years as credentialed veterinary technician
• Eligible to transfer credentials to Texas
• 2+ years in training/leadership/management
• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred
• Strong communication and EI

Responsibilities

• Identify skill gaps and develop regional training plans
• Provide tools and feedback for onboarding and upskilling
• Deliver coaching and professional development across region
• Mentor hospital leaders and trainers
• Support growth goals and Thrive standards and regional priorities
• Promote a culture of learning, psychological safety, and accountability
• Monitor training activities, outcomes, and challenges
• Contribute to Thrive’s Technician Advisory Council meetings
