Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare seeks a Regional Veterinary Technician Trainer to support hospital teams in the Hill Country region. The role collaborates with leaders to identify needs, deliver hands-on training, and advance clinical standards across San Antonio, New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, and Austin.

The position requires 4–6 years as a credentialed veterinary technician, with 2+ years in training or leadership. It involves up to 80% travel and developing onboarding, skill-building, and mentorship

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of clinical experience as a credentialed veterinary technician.
• Eligible to transfer credentials to Texas (CVT, LVT, RVT or LVMT).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in training, leadership, or management roles.
• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with National Technician Director and regional leadership to identify skill gaps and training priorities.
• Provide tools, training, and feedback to support competency assessments and onboarding plans.
• Deliver coaching and professional development to Veterinary Technicians and assistants across the region.
• Mentor hospital technicians leaders on resources and best adult learning practices.
• Support individual growth goals and Thrive’s clinical skills pathway.
