Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare seeks a Regional Veterinary Technician Trainer to support hospital teams across the Hill Country region. This role travels between San Antonio, New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, and Austin to deliver hands-on training and mentorship, driving consistent medical excellence across Thrive hospitals.

You will partner with regional leaders and the National Technician Director to tailor onboarding, competency assessments, and development plans.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of clinical experience as a credentialed veterinary technician.
• Eligible to transfer credentials to Texas (CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT).
• Minimum 2 years of training, leadership, or management experience.
• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify skill gaps and training needs with regional leadership.
• Provide tools, training, and feedback for onboarding and upskilling.
• Deliver coaching and professional development support to Veterinary Technicians and teams.
• Mentor hospital leaders and trainers on resources and coaching practices.
• Support growth goals through Thrive's skills and knowledge pathways.
• Promote learning culture, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
• Align training with Thrive standards, protocols and regional priorities.
• Advise leadership on staffing utilization and workflow optimization.
• Document training activities, outcomes, and challenges for leadership.
