Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified Training & Compliance Lead to develop and maintain airline training programs, ensuring safety, security, and quality across multiple stations. You will oversee audit programs and coordinate with station leadership to deliver effective initial and recurrent training.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate proven leadership, strong communication, and deep knowledge of TSA, FAA, IATA, OSHA, and CBP regulations, with the ability to navigate a global, diverse environment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and two years or equivalent experience in airline ground handling/safety, security, or training.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across management levels, identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies in a global environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable domestic and international guidance and regulations, including TSA, FAA, IATA, OSHA, and CBP.
  • Knowledge of Federal Air Regulations applicable to passenger, cargo, and ground handling operations.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to use a computer and applicable Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision and independently or as part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and assist in developing compliance, procedural, and operational training for airline passenger, cargo, and ground handling processes within an assigned region.
  • Maintain management oversight of safety, security, and quality audit programs.
  • Coordinate with field general managers, station managers, and station trainers to ensure initial and recurrent training.
  • Evaluate training compliance and verify records are complete and current.
  • Ensure daily operations meet government and WFS standards.
  • Provide Train-the-Trainer certifications and assist station instructors with procedures, regulatory bulletins, and training deficiencies.

Job description


  • Manage, maintain, and assist in developing compliance, procedural, and operational training for airline passenger, cargo, and ground handling processes within an assigned region

  • Maintain management oversight of safety, security, and quality audit programs

  • Coordinate with field general managers, station managers, and station trainers to ensure initial and recurrent training

  • Evaluate training compliance and verify records are complete and current

  • Ensure daily operations meet government and WFS standards

  • Provide Train-the-Trainer certifications and assist station instructors with procedures, regulatory bulletins, and training deficiencies

  • Assist with developing, revising, and designing training courses and programs

  • Verify completion of mandated training across assigned stations

  • Perform independent station and process audits focused on training, safety, security, and quality

  • Document and submit regional reports to Directors of Training and Quality Assurance and the Vice President of Training and Quality Assurance

  • Coach stations on required daily and weekly inspections

  • Verify completion of reports required by government agencies and airport authorities

  • Attend management meetings regarding training, safety, and security issues

  • Compile data for process and procedure improvement proposals

  • Assist with special projects and events and perform other required duties

  • Meet customer and airline representatives regarding training or audit issues

  • Ability to lift, carry, or move objects, files, and documents up to 10 pounds

  • Regular and punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and applicable federal, state, and local standards
