Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services in Dallas is seeking a seasoned training leader to oversee the training program development, compliance audits, and certification processes for the ground handling network. The role partners with field managers to ensure consistent, safe, and compliant operations across stations.

You will drive Train-the-Trainer initiatives, design new courses, and verify mandated training completion while coordinating with regulatory requirements and company leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years or equivalent experience in airline ground handling, cargo safety, security, or training.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree or technical school preferred.
  • Ability to work with individuals and groups across management levels, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies in a global environment.
  • Knowledge of TSA, FAA, IATA, OSHA, and CBP regulations relevant to transportation operations and Worldwide Flight Services.
  • Knowledge of Federal Air Regulations for WFS passenger, cargo, and ground handling operations.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to use a computer and MS Office software
  • Ability to work with little supervision, independently or in a team.
  • Travel as approved by company leadership.
  • Ability to perform physical functions including pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, crawling, and gripping.
  • Ability to work in restricted spaces and high-noise environments.
  • Ability to tolerate dust, jet fumes, and toxic chemicals.
  • Bachelor's degree or technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead training department activities under the direction of Directors of Training and VP of Training and QA.
  • Coordinate with field general managers and station staff to ensure initial and recurrent job-specific training.
  • Evaluate training compliance and verify records, daily ops, and WFS standards.
  • Provide Train-the-Trainer certifications and assist with new procedures and training deficiencies.
  • Assist with developing, revising, and designing training courses and programs.
  • Verify completion of mandated training across assigned stations.
  • Perform station and process training audits focused on training, safety, security, and quality programs.
  • Document and submit regional reports to Directors and VP of Training and QA.
  • Coach stations to complete required daily and weekly inspections.
  • Verify stations complete reports required by government agencies or airport authorities.
  • Monitor Regional Training Manager activities for alignment with team initiatives.
  • Attend and host management meetings on training, safety, and security issues.
  • Compile data to support proposals for process and procedure improvements.

Job description

Requirements
