Job summary

Colonial Life, part of Unum Group, seeks a seasoned Training and Development leader to drive onboarding, curriculum rollout, and regional training strategy. You will partner with sales leadership to deliver scalable programs and mentor Territory Sales Trainers across the South region and adjacent areas.

The role requires travel up to 60-80% and 7+ years in training delivery, with strong leadership and analytical skills to improve performance and adoption of enterprise capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in education, business, training and development or related field is preferred.
• 7+ years of formal training delivery experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work across organizations.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%-80% of time.
• Ability to facilitate challenging meetings and drive solutions.
• Solid analytical skills and learning aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding for core teams and ensure alignment with regional standards.
• Develop and deliver training for Territory Sales Trainers across regions.
• Promote and embed strategic investments, tools, and resources into training.
• Train TSTs and leaders to ensure scalable, high-quality training delivery.
• Launch new training content and curricula across the region.
• Assess regional training impact and recommend improvements.
• Deliver engaging training sessions aligned with the training path.
• Ensure consistency of core team systems across the field.
