Job summary

Unum’s Colonial Life division is seeking a seasoned Training and Development lead to drive regional growth by partnering with sales leaders and home office stakeholders. You will design and implement onboarding, develop scalable training programs, and mentor Territory Sales Trainers across the South region, ensuring consistent adoption of enterprise capabilities and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in education, business, training and development or related field and/or 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 7+ years of formal training delivery experience strongly preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%-80% of time.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to engage cross-organization partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding for core team members and ensure alignment with regional and enterprise standards.
• Train and upskill Territory Sales Trainers across regions for consistent delivery.
• Champion adoption of strategic investments, tools and resources in training forums.
• Develop and rollout new training content, curricula and learning experiences across the region.
• Assess territory performance and training effectiveness; provide recommendations to improve outcomes.
• Deliver engaging training sessions aligned with Colonial Life’s programs and systems.
