Job summary

Colonial Life, part of Unum Group, seeks a Training & Development leader to drive regional onboarding and trainer development across the South region and beyond.

You will partner with sales leaders and home office stakeholders to deploy enterprise capabilities, deliver scalable training, and ensure field readiness through effective content and programs.

Travel up to 60–80% is required, focusing on expanding training impact and performance across territories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in education, business, training and development or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in training delivery.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Ability to travel up to 60–80% of time and lead change.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding design and execution for core team members across region.
• Develop and upskill Territory Sales Trainers (TSTs) for scalable training.
• Drive adoption of strategic investments, tools and resources in training forums.
• Launch new training content and curricula across the region.
• Measure training impact and optimize for performance.
• Mentor new talent and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
