Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad in Ranger, TX is hiring a Track Laborer - Regional to maintain and repair railroad tracks within your designated territory. You will perform maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure safe and efficient train movement across North America.

This role requires a CDL (Class A or B), a clean MVR, the ability to pass a PAT, and physical stamina. Outdoors work in varied weather, travel as needed, and adherence to FRA rules and safety standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to follow safety rules, bulletins, and regulatory instructions.
• Must successfully complete an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, FRA requirements and operational guidelines.
• Transport and handle track materials and equipment using appropriate devices.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, installations on tracks as needed.
• Maintain trackbed, remove/replace ballast, tamp ballast, assist ballast unloading.
• Operate equipment to drive spikes, tighten/loosen track bolts, use pullers to remove spikes.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
