Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad in Colorado Springs is seeking a Track Laborer - Regional. You will join a team responsible for upkeep and improvement of railroad tracks across your designated territory, performing maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure safe and efficient train movements.

Candidates must have a CDL at hire, pass an English assessment, meet FMCSA medical qualifications, and be 21+. The role emphasizes safety, outdoor work, and potential travel to remote locations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and safety bulletins.
• Must successfully complete an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Develop working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and customers and handle controversy professionally.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and FRA requirements.
• Transport track materials and equipment using proper load/unload devices.
• Maintain, repair, install and remove track components as needed.
• Maintain trackbed, ballast removal and tamping, and assist with ballast loading.
• Operate equipment safely to drive spikes and tighten/loosen track bolts.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
