The Morrison Healthcare System Support Sous Chef travels between New York and Connecticut accounts to provide hands-on culinary leadership. You’ll partner with Executive Chefs and site leaders to elevate culinary execution, training, and program rollout.

Ideal candidates bring a strong restaurant/chef-driven background, a passion for developing people, and the operational savvy to drive quality, guest satisfaction, and cost control in high-volume healthcare dining environments.

Qualifications

• Culinary leadership experience in restaurant/chef-driven environments.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop culinary teams.
• Strong operations mindset, problem-solving across locations.
• Experience in high-volume foodservice, healthcare dining or catering.
• Passion for culinary excellence, innovation and improvement.
• Experience supporting multiple locations or regional operations.
• Knowledge of food production, safety, sanitation, cost controls.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and business apps.
• Valid driver's license, ability to travel across NY/CT.

Responsabilités

• Travel between assigned healthcare accounts to provide culinary leadership and operational support.
• Partner with Executive Chefs to enhance culinary execution, food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Coach, mentor, and develop culinary team members.
• Support staffing, staffing challenges, and high-volume service periods across locations.
• Assist with menu development, recipe execution, catering and events.
• Champion Made for More and other culinary initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor food cost management and inventory practices.
• Build relationships with site leadership to enhance patient and client satisfaction.
