Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, seeks a System Support Sous Chef to lead culinary operations across New York and Connecticut. The role travels between accounts to provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and execution of culinary programs that elevate food quality and guest satisfaction.

You will work with Executive Chefs to drive culinary excellence, mentor teams, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while supporting Made for More initiatives.

Qualifications

• Progressive culinary leadership experience in restaurant or chef-driven environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop culinary teams.
• Strong operational aptitude and problem-solving across multiple locations.
• Experience in high-volume foodservice, hospitality, or healthcare dining operations.
• Passion for culinary excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Travel between assigned healthcare accounts to provide culinary leadership and operational support.
• Partner with Executive Chefs to enhance culinary execution, food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Coach, mentor, and develop culinary team members.
• Support staffing needs, operational challenges, and high-volume service periods across locations.
• Assist with menu development, recipe execution, catering, events, and culinary innovation.
• Champion implementation of Made for More and other culinary initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor food cost management, inventory, and overall operational effectiveness.
• Build relationships with site leadership to enhance patient and client satisfaction.
