Job summary

Morrison Healthcare in the United States is seeking a System Support Sous Chef to lead culinary operations across New York and Connecticut healthcare accounts. The role partners with Executive Chefs to elevate culinary execution, coach teams, and drive Made for More initiatives while traveling between sites.

The ideal candidate has a strong restaurant/chef background, a passion for people development, and the operational savvy to excel in diverse healthcare dining environments.

Qualifications

• Progressive culinary leadership experience in restaurant or chef-driven environments.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop culinary teams.
• Strong operational aptitude with problem-solving across multiple locations.
• Experience in high-volume foodservice, hospitality, catering, or healthcare dining operations.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively in NY and CT.

Responsibilities

• Travel between assigned healthcare accounts to provide culinary leadership and operational support.
• Partner with Executive Chefs to enhance culinary execution, food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Coach, mentor, and develop culinary team members, fostering continuous improvement.
• Support staffing needs, operational challenges, and high-volume service periods across locations.
• Assist with menu development, recipe execution, catering, events, and culinary innovation.
• Champion Made for More and other culinary initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor food cost management, inventory practices, and operational effectiveness.
• Build relationships with site leadership to enhance patient and client satisfaction.
