Morrison Healthcare is seeking a System Support Sous Chef to lead culinary operations across healthcare accounts in New York and Connecticut. This role emphasizes coaching, program implementation, and hands-on leadership to elevate food quality and guest satisfaction.

You will work with Executive Chefs to drive Made for More initiatives, ensure food safety, manage costs, and travel regularly to sites. A strong restaurant background and ability to travel extensively are essential.

Qualifications

• Progressive culinary leadership experience with a strong restaurant or chef-driven background.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop culinary teams.
• Strong operational aptitude, problem-solving skills, and adaptability across multiple locations.
• Experience in high-volume foodservice, hospitality, catering, or healthcare dining operations.
• Passion for culinary excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience supporting multiple locations or regional operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food production techniques, food safety, sanitation, presentation standards, and cost controls.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel extensively throughout New York and Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Travel between assigned healthcare accounts to provide culinary leadership and operational support.
• Partner with Executive Chefs to enhance culinary execution, food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Coach, mentor, and develop culinary team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Support staffing needs, operational challenges, and high-volume service periods across multiple locations.
• Assist with menu development, recipe execution, catering, special events, and culinary innovation.
• Champion the implementation of Made for More and other company culinary initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor food cost management, inventory practices, and overall operational effectiveness.
• Build strong relationships with site leadership and support efforts to enhance patient and client satisfaction.
