Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, seeks a System Support Sous Chef to lead culinary activities across New York and Connecticut healthcare accounts. You will travel regularly, coach Executive Chefs, and drive Made for More initiatives to elevate food quality, presentation, and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Progressive culinary leadership experience with a strong restaurant or chef-driven background.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop culinary teams.
• Strong operational aptitude, problem-solving, and adaptability across locations.
• Experience in high-volume foodservice, hospitality, catering, or healthcare dining.
• Passion for culinary excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience supporting multiple locations or regional operations preferred.
• Knowledge of food production, safety, sanitation, presentation standards, and cost controls.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout New York and Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Travel between assigned healthcare accounts to provide culinary leadership and operational support.
• Partner with Executive Chefs to enhance culinary execution, food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Coach, mentor, and develop culinary team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Support staffing needs, operational challenges, and high-volume service periods across multiple locations.
• Assist with menu development, recipe execution, catering, special events, and culinary innovation.
• Champion the implementation of Made for More and other company culinary initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor food cost management, inventory practices, and overall operational effectiveness.
• Build strong relationships with site leadership and support efforts to enhance patient and client satisfaction.
