Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, seeks a System Support Sous Chef to lead culinary operations across New York and Connecticut healthcare accounts. The role travels regularly to provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and execution of culinary programs that elevate food quality, service, and team performance.

The ideal candidate has a strong restaurant/chef-driven background and a passion for developing people, with the operational aptitude to manage diverse foodservice

Qualifications

• Progressive culinary leadership experience with a strong restaurant or chef-driven background.
• Experience in high-volume healthcare dining operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food production techniques, safety, sanitation, and cost controls.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel between assigned healthcare accounts to provide culinary leadership and operational support.
• Partner with Executive Chefs to enhance culinary execution, food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Coach, mentor, and develop culinary team members, fostering continuous improvement and excellence.
• Support staffing needs and operational challenges across multiple locations during high-volume service.
• Assist with menu development, recipe execution, catering, events, and culinary innovation.
• Champion the Made for More initiative and other culinary programs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor food cost management and inventory practices across sites.
• Build relationships with site leadership to enhance patient and client satisfaction.
