Job summary

Eversource is seeking an experienced Substation Operations Manager to oversee distribution and transmission substation maintenance within a regional area. You will manage asset maintenance programs, drive reliability initiatives, and lead a team toward safe, cost-effective operation.

With a bachelor’s degree (MS/MBA preferred) and 10+ years in energy delivery/substation work, you will apply advanced planning, budgeting, and safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, related discipline or equivalent experience.
• MS in Engineering or MBA preferred.
• Ten (10) or more years of related substation experience is required.
• Supervisory experience is also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages maintenance of assigned assets according to schedules and methods, ensuring timely, effective, and cost-efficient work.
• Participates in establishing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methods and uses them in the division.
• Monitors KPI trends and takes action to improve performance across the Maintenance Process.
• Directs safety awareness and compliance initiatives and promotes world-class safety practices.
• Develops employees through performance management, coaching, and rotational assignments.
• Coordinates emergency response activities and travel between MA/CT/NH as needed.
